KINGS CANYON RESORT (BUDGET)
location- Located in the Watarrka National Park in Kings Canyon, central Australia.
3 1/2 hours drive from Ayers Rock, 4 hours from Alice Springs. Worth the trip for magnificent scenery and the best way of seeing it is walking around. There is a short 1 hour walk or a 3 hour walk. rooms- Rooms are average size, air-conditioned, with TV/in house movies and mini bar and are kept in a good condition. Bathrooms feature a shower only. Rooms were painted in 2005. restaurant- Restaurant, serving international cuisine (air conditioned), as well as a Cafe, and an Outback barbecue. BBQ is closed Dec-April due to very hot weather. Location of the restaurant is away from the Reception, in a separate building. exterior- Single level low rise building. Pool area was improved in 2003.
lobby- Small Reception area, not a lobby as such. general- A typical Australian outback property, basic, with friendly service. This area is a breath of fresh air - totally non commercial.
