Belga Queen

More Information

Antoine Pinto's desire to create getaway spaces which offer a gastronomic trip throughout Belgium is the foundation of the Belga Queen brasserie adventure.
In a landmark building dating from the 18th century (previously housing the Hôtel de la Poste and then the Crédit du Nord bank) Antoine Pinto created an establishment breaking away from the traditional brasserie, elbow-to-elbow style. Contemporary architecture and gastronomy meet each other in an amazing way.
At Belga Queen the Belgian cuisine is adapted to today's taste, lightened and given a very national touch through the addition of beer to numerous dishes. Original, high-quality products are chosen with care from Belgian artisans who still have respect for the soil.
The wines come from Belgian producers and the Ponti coffee is from a selection of 'pure Arabica' coffee beans from various continents and roasted locally.
All these characteristics make the brasserie Belga Queen the ambassador of "made in Belgium".
A brasserie where, either for a business dinner or for a meal shared with friends and family, all your senses are stimulated: taste, touch, hearing, sight and smell.

This is a chic Thai fantasy, an Eden of exotic flora to take you far from the busy metropolis outside.
During the day the stunningly-appointed dining room is naturally lit from the skylight above, while in the evening candles and lamps take over. It is lushly decorated with exotic plants, beautiful orchids, Buddhas, Thai woodwork, comfy bamboo chairs, and smiling Thai-costumed waitstaff.

Fantasy that it would be a pleasure to treat yourself to every day? As one of the pioneering caterers in the very beautiful avenue Louis Bertrand, Schaerbeek.
It is a family business, with Fatma Mola in the dining room doing everything possible to ensure guests are happy at their tables while her brother works at the cooker.
Fantasy has been able to create a loyal clientele who delight in the warm setting and contemporary French cuisine which also includes some Turkish dishes served in traditional style, as a small acknowledgement of the family’s origins. For its part, the wine list is classified according to the French regions (as French cuisine requires) and is supplemented by some foreign wines and a selection of Turkish wines including the excellent Karmen! In a nutshell, what we can call a really reliable address.

La Truffe Noire
Italian chef Luigi Ciciriello is passionate about his truffles, used in just about every dish at this gastronomic, one-Michelin-starred (but friendly) restaurant. Located close to Avenue Louise in central Brussels, the restaurant is characterised by its rich wood and warm, gentle tones. Specialities include carpaccio truffles with olive oil and parmesan, lobster risotto with truffles, and, for dessert, black chocolate truffle with spun sugar and raspberry sauce.
An extensive wine cellar of fine Italian and French bottles offers the perfect accompaniment to any meal.
Special business menus are available at lunchtime and private lounges on the first floor may be booked for groups of up to 20 guests.
Closed Saturday lunchtime and Sunday.
Those with a passion for truffles but with less time to linger should head for the sister establishment, the cheaper L'Atelier de la Truffe Noire.

At the centre of the Galeries de la Reine, in what was once a theatre, and then a nightclub, the Vaudeville has recently re-emerged as an intimate and attractive restaurant combining all the necessary ingredients to become one of Brussels’ new hotspots.
Serge and Pascal Van Hamme have developed the principle of a delicious hot and cold buffet to which visitors can help themselves directly with the option of different plate sizes.
They can enjoy their meal either on the terrace, or in the gallery, or on the first floor in one of three grand rooms decorated by Belgian designer Philippe Guilemin and directly overlooking the beautiful shopping arcade.
The Surrealists’, the Victor Hugo, and the Marx and Engels rooms, all personalised with works by Emile Vercruysse, provide a touch of history while blending perfectly with the modern decor.
As far as the majestic theatre is concerned, this has been restored and is reserved for events, weddings, receptions and seminars and can easily accommodate up to 250 people for dinner or 625 for a reception.
The restaurant is open 7 days a week.
