 | Xian has been the capital of 13 dynasties. Xian is renowned for being the eastern terminus of the Silk Road and for the location of the Terracotta Army from Qin Dynasty. The City is surrounded by a City Wall, which was reconstructed in the Ming Dynasty and based in inner imperial palace of Tang Dynasty. The City Wall of Xian has 4 main gates. Main sights: Terracotta Army inside Qin Shi Huang Mausoleum, 3rd century BC., the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the Small Wild Goose Pagoda are both spectacular towers and both are well over 1,000 years old, the Bell Tower and the Drum Tower, located at the city centre, the Shaanxi History Museum has a large collection of articrafts both modern and ancient. |

|  | Tang Dynasty Dance in Xian and originated in China's Tang Dynasty over 1,000 years ago. Not sure how accurate it is but supposedly it has been recreated here in accordance with historical records though I imagine it has been highly stylized. Non the less very beautiful and entertaining. |
