location- This small inn is located in the heart of Venice, precisely in one of those areas still preserved from the tourists crowds. All around there are the shops regularly visited by the Venetians, along with their favorite Bars and Restaurants. During the day it is possible to wander around the colourful local markets and, as all over Venice, historical sites or monuments are everywhere. The ancient Jewish ghetto is also few hundred meters away and Rialto Bridge is at 5 minutes, by public boat, journey. Close by, there is also the magnificent Casino of Venice. The closest boat stop, 2 minutes walking distance, is named San Marcuola. Piazzale Roma and the train station are 5 to 10 minutes away by public boat. rooms- The rooms are small and in fairly good condition as well as the bathrooms. The furnishing is simple and typical of a private Venetian home. This is the feeling that the owner wants his guests to get, to feel like his personal guests in Venice. Air conditioning is available only on few rooms therefore has to be requested. restaurant- There is no Restaurant or Breakfast room. Hotel will give to the guest a voucher to present at the local Bar or Patisserie to enjoy a light breakfast. exterior- This is a typical Venetian building with an inner, romantic courtyard arranged with pretty tables and chairs to enjoy the atmosphere. lobby- There is no lobby but only a small reception desk where the friendly owner of the house will be at clients disposal. general- This is a small, quiet property, without too much pretension, managed by friendly people with the passion for the hospitality. It is suitable to young couples, budget travelers or to who wants to try the feeling of leaving like a Venetian. Located at only 150m from the hotel, Locanda Al Portico also has studio flats. ARRIVALS AFTER MIDNIGHT MUST BE ADVISED IN ADVANCE as reception closes.(CQ03/06) apartments- Only 100 metres away there are 3 apartments, managed from the same owner, that can accomodate 2 to 4 people.. 12 kms to the nearest airport (venice). 1 km to the nearest station (santa lucia). 10 km to the nearest beach.
