location- Hotel Puri Melaka is a boutique hotel in the heart of the old city of Malacca . It is a 30 minute drive from the North-South Highway (Malacca/Ayer Keroh exit), and 10 minute drive from the Central bus station. The hotel is located off the main street of Jalan Hang Jebat and the historical precinct of Malacca is with a 10 minute walking distance. rooms- Rooms are small, clean and neat with simple wooden furnishings with soft pastel yellows creating a warm ambience. About 40% of deluxe rooms have balconies. The Puri Suite has a separate living room and bedroom and is decorated with antique furnishings
The rooms are almost all different in size and shape. They are simple but clean with individual air-conditioning units. The bathrooms are simple with tiled floors and walls and standing shower. restaurant- There is no restaurant but a simple breakfast of toast and coffee is available next to the lobby. However, coffee shops and restaurants are abundantly available on the street day and night. exterior- The beige exterior is understated and blends in well with the surrounding shophouses. Some windows look down on the street. lobby- The lobby retains its old world charm with patterned flooring and antique chandeliers. Though small, it is nicely decorated with Peranakan artefacts and shows the traditional structure courtyard style houses. general- A quaint boutique style hotel in picturesque Chinatown which is ideal for visitors who want to see the local lifestyle.
