Hoteles Catalonia is a premium Spanish hotel chain that has grown steadily since its creation.

In the 1980s the consortium moved from the real estate business into the hotel industry. It has grown to become one of the main Spanish corporations in urban development, and the leading hotel group in Barcelona (with 4.850 beds nowadays and 900 to be added in 2008). Hoteles Catalonia currently has forty six establishments all around Spain and is consolidating its expansion through the Caribbean with three tourist resort in the Dominican Republic and another four resorts in Mexico (Riviera Maya).

Growth is not the only goal of Hoteles Catalonia; the group’s main aim is to keep improving their services day by day to reach the highest level of customer satisfaction as possible. The group fosters all the factors that guarantee their success in an increasingly competitive and expanding market.

With more than 8.000 rooms, Hoteles Catalonia has always followed a policy of growth based on discretion and caution and it has shown a steady, positive evolution. The group only opens a hotel in areas where the need for a new hotel has not yet been met, and only if it finds the adequate space and structure to build a hotel according to their quality standards.

Hoteles Catalonia has consolidated its position in Barcelona with eighteen hotels in full operation, and three new projects. The group has combined its expansion with the opening of premises in strategic cities like Madrid, Seville, Valencia, Zaragoza, Salamanca, Murcia, LLeida and Brussels. Hoteles Catalonia also has leisure hotels located in Tenerife, Majorca, Menorca, Ibiza, Punta Cana, Bayahibe and the Riviera Maya.

Currently Hoteles Catalonia is working on new hotel projects to open in Madrid and Barcelona.
