Located in the Hotel Club S’Illot in S’Illot, Mallorca is the fine Mediterranean restaurant Albacora. This glorious beachside hotel couldn’t ask for a better location, overlooking the amazing huge stretch of white sandy beach and sparkling turquoise waters of the Mediterranean. The Albacora restaurant is perfectly situated within the hotel to offer guests a birds eye view of the beach, and in summer time, you can enjoy your meal al fresco on the terrace with the smell of the sea air wafting by. The Hotel Club S’Illot has been owned by the Guiscafre family since 1965, and their warmth and friendliness is apparent in every aspect of the hotel, especially in the restaurant Albacora. At the helm of this gourmet restaurant is Chef Jörg Thiele who has created a Mediterranean menu befitting of its location with dishes such as saltimbocca of loin of rabbit on a concoction of artichokes or fillet of John Dory with fennel bulb and a risotto of red beetroot. The house dessert of crema catalana with rosemary and honey and tonka beans is simply divine and well worth the effort. Beachside restaurants don’t come much better than the Albacora.

Ca’n March restaurant in Manacor on the east side of Mallorca was established in 1925 by March Gelabert Prats, and is still a hit today. Now run by his grandsons, Miguel & Tolo, the restaurant has been completely modernised, including the menu, which is distinctly Mediterranean in style and offers diners some incredible flavours and aromas. Ca’n March is bright and colourful and is extremely welcoming. Chef Miguel likes to add a touch of his personality to the dishes and takes inspiration from his worldwide travels; Sea bass with lemon sauce and tahini, ostrich with orange and ginger and parmesan shavings, sponge biscuit of potato with tomato, aubergine and red pepper marmalade, fresh fish with bananas, chocolate brownie with grilled pears – these are just a few examples that demonstrate why Ca’n March is such a popular Mallorcan restaurant. You can be assured of a great meal and some real Mallorcan hospitality at this wonderful Mediterranean eatery.
