location- The hotel is located by a small road about 10 mins walk from the centre of Grindelwald, slightly above the village on the hillside. rooms- The hotel consists of two buildings on either side of the quiet little road. The rooms in the main, older, building are medium sized and newly refurbished and though decorated in simple style are comfortable and clean. Both the rooms and the bathrooms are in very good condition of course. The rooms in the newer building are much larger than those over the road, but are a little older. They are decorated in modern style with pale pastel colourschemes and are in very good condition too. restaurant- The restaurant is in the main building and is simple in style, but enjoys fabulous uninterupted views of the Eiger. In fine weather guests may wish to dine outside on the terrace. exterior- The hotel consists of two buildings on opposite sides of the quiet little road. The main building which houses the reception and the restaurant is older and traditional in style, whilst the other building is more modern, but still blends in with its more traditional neighbours. lobby- The lobby is in the "main" building on the left hand side of the road as one approaches from the village. It is small in size, and plainly decorated. general- This hotel is of a good standard with comfortable rooms. It enjoys one of the most peaceful locations in Grindelwald and some of the most spectacular views of the Eiger due to its elevated position. PL 08/06. 1 kms to city centre. 180 kms to the airport (zurich). 210 kms to the airport (geneva). 1 km to the nearest station (grindelwald).
