location- This hotel is situated by the lake shore and is a 10 minute walk from the town centre. rooms- The rooms vary from medium to very large, and have all undergone extensive refurbishment. They all have high ceilings and are in exceptional condition. Each room has its own individual decor combining traditional style with modern quality. The bathrooms are medium to large. The old, ornate bathrooms are still in good condition whereas those bathrooms in the new rooms are exceptional. restaurant- There are two restaurants. One caters mainly for hotel guests and the other is more exclusive serving only A la carte cuisine. The bar is very cosy with leather armchairs and is located within the public area. exterior- The building, which is traditional, has been kept in immaculate condition and counts itself as one of Lucerne s "sights". lobby- The lobby is small, but leads into a large, comfortable lounge which is decorated in traditional style with chandeliers which are slightly at odds with the modern furniture. Massive windows give lovely views over the lake and beyond to the mountains. general- This is one of the best hotels in Switzerland.10/06 PL. 1 kms to city centre. 60 kms to the nearest airport (zurich). 1 km to the nearest station (lucerne). 1 minute walk to the nearest bus stop. 5 km to the nearest fair site (allmend).
